The City of Huntsville Mayor and City Council with the Sports and Recreation Department will hold a short ceremony at the beginning of their next meeting at 6:00pm on Thursday June 12th 2008. They plan to recognize the 13&Under and 11&Under Huntsville Lacrosse teams for winning the Alabama State Championship for Lacrosse in their age groups. Parents, coaches, players and other supporters are invited to attend to see the players receive certificates from the Council. The city council meetings are held at the Municipal Building on Fountain Circle in Huntsville, first floor chambers.
Huntsville Mayor Loretta Spencer’s office has been very supportive of our programs through the continued working relationship we have had with the Sports and Recreation Department.
After the ceremony ends, weekly pickup lacrosse will be held as usual (details here).
