Huntsville Lacrosse Association

The 2013 high school boys and girls lacrosse All-State teams were announced today in Alabama.

HLA players Mikey McNeil (G), Carson May (LSM) and Austin Kusiak (D) are First Team All-State. Kyle Kopfinger (M) and Nate Murphy(A) are Second Team All-State. All five play on the Grissom Tigers Lacrosse team. Paxton Schrimsher (D) is Honorable Mention for Bob Jones Patriots.

Girls Lacrosse had three players recognized for 2013. Elizabeth Brown, Alesandra Lee and Brianna Studor all made Second Team All-State at midfield.

Sunday wrapped up an undefeated season of lacrosse for the U13 Huntsville Boys team coached by Larry Parker with assistants Andy Ramsey, Michael Winland and Bill Alison.

The team defeated the #2 seeded Lions 9-6 on Saturday after a rain delay in the championship game at the  Oak Mountain Heardmont Park stadium. The team went 13-0 on the season, and were the #1 seed going into the playoffs.

Congrats boys… a job well done by you, the coaches and the supportive families who make it to practices and games (in rain and snow and sun).

We need Your Help to grow Huntsville Lacrosse! 

Huntsville Lacrosse Association needs our players and family to get the word out  to get more of YOUR friends and neighbors involved in the fastest growing sport in the US…. and we want to hook you up with gifts in the process.

The Challenge  :  Recruit as many NEW youth players as you can! WIN FREE STUFF !

Rules and Prizes :

One player in each playing division (U9, U11, U13, U15 etc) who has the most youth referrals (i.e. gets the most NEW players to sign up) will win a Dick’s Sporting Goods gift certificate.

The player who has the MOST total referrals out of all of HLA will win a free Warrior shaft from the HLA President  (attack or defense according to who wins).

Each NEW player must fill out the name of the “recruiting player” while registering. The name goes in the box that states “I was referred to Huntsville Lacrosse Association by : ” that is part of the registration form online.

All new players must register before registration closes (Dec 11th is the end of regular registration)

This contest begins November 14… that’s when we start counting which players are bringing in NEW players to lacrosse.
